About Tricia

Tricia Renshaw was born and raised in Newark, Delaware, and has lived throughout the East Coast since her formative years. She earned her BS in Dance from Skidmore College in 2008, and later received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida in 2011.

After graduating, she relocated to the mountains of Western North Carolina, where she continues to live and work. Since entering the field, Tricia has practiced in a variety of settings—from acute care to outpatient—giving her a broad perspective on the rehabilitation continuum and how to meet people where they are.

In 2013, she opened Restorative PT shortly after completing her certification in Clinical Neuromuscular and Structural Bodywork. This advanced training deepened her hands-on skills in soft tissue work and structural balancing, which remain central to her approach. She also incorporates dry needling and, as a Level 1 NeuFit Practitioner (since 2019), utilizes the Neubie to support recovery, nervous system regulation, and overall performance.

Tricia’s work has continued to evolve beyond traditional physical therapy. For decades, she has been engaged in personal development and spiritual study, exploring both Eastern and Western philosophies alongside work in mindset, emotional intelligence, and subtle energy. She completed Level 2 Emotional Intelligence Mastery with Satori Prime in 2020 and studied extensively with Marci Lock from 2020 to 2024. Her studies also include Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Gene Keys (since 2017), and Asil Toksal’s “Becoming a Conscious Creator” program (2024).

She completed BASE training with Dave Berger in Fall 2025 and is currently in training through Somatic Experiencing International (SEI), with completion expected in 2027. These layers of study inform a more integrated, whole-person approach—one that considers not just physical symptoms but also the nervous system, emotional patterns, and the lived experience of each individual.

In addition to her clinical work, Tricia has been an adjunct Instructor of Dance at Western Carolina University since 2016. She also serves as Assistant Artistic Director at the Asheville Ballet, where she choreographs and performs.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her partner Andrew, connecting with family and friends, spending time in nature, traveling, cheering for her sports teams (Go Birds! and Go Duke!), and continuing to dive into all things health and human potential.
