About Tricia

Tricia Renshaw was born and raised in Newark, Delaware, and has lived in various states along the east coast since her formative years.  She received a BS in Dance from Skidmore College in 2008. She later went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida.

After graduating in April of 2011, she relocated to the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.  Since entering the field, she has worked in various settings, from acute care to outpatient clinics. This has allowed her to enjoy an array of experiences and expand her knowledge in the rehabilitation continuum.

She received her certification in Clinical Neuromuscular and Structural Bodywork after 115 hours of post-doctoral study in 2013, which has enhanced her manual proficiency in the area of soft tissue mobilization and structural balancing.  She also practices dry needling to address soft tissue restrictions.

She is certified as a Level 1 NeuFit Practitioner. So, she can use the Neubie to assist her patients in recovery and help her clients achieve their maximum fitness potentials (for more information on this system, please click here).

In addition to practicing physical therapy, she completed her Level 2 Emotional Intelligence Mastery from Satori Prime in October 2020. She now incorporates subtle energy work into her practice (for more information on this, please click here), allowing her to treat her patients holistically.

Outside of her practice, she is a professor of dance at Western Carolina University. She serves as the Assistant Artistic Director at the Asheville Ballet, where she teaches, choreographs, and performs.

In addition to dance and physical therapy, she enjoys spending time with her beloved Andrew, visiting with family and friends, hiking, traveling, doing yoga, dabbling in photography, diving deep into personal growth, and geeking out on all things health and wellness.
